What will your character be like?

I was thinking yesterday…..you know how these Actors study, and practice, and have given their entire lives to their “craft”. The better they are at “being” the character the more money, fame, and power!

We are characters in HIStory! The character we need to study to become is Jesus. God equipped us with everything we need to become Him. We just have to choose; then study and practice daily. The better we become, the more “characters” we affect! When our characters die here, it’s just like in the movies. Tashina doesn’t die, Tashina isn’t even her real name. Tashina is the character. She just “looks like she dies.” She just wakes up back home and is back to her true identity, with her “real” name. Insert anyone’s name in. Jesus told the thief I will see you today in paradise!! Not tomorrow, not I will take you with me when I go back- He said TODAY!

Which character are we trying to become?!?! How much do we study, and practice, and then go out and put it to use? Are we kingdom building or character building, or doing BOTH?!?! Are we remembering our first love and not getting to into “the works” like the church in Ephesus? So many distractions, so many ways to turn; we have to focus on the race! And run with perseverance 🏃🏽‍♀️

What is Baptism?

Baptism prepares the body to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit!

The practice of baptism in the early church was performed in the name of Jesus Christ. The disciples were trained by Jesus for three years. I believe they would have fully done as Jesus instructed them to do so.  In the second century; John Martyr, an early father of the Catholic Church changed the name into which people were baptized. To the name of [Titles] the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Obey His Commandments

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith. 1 John 5:3

Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." John 14:15

Call to Discipleship

I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another." John 13:34-35

And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me." Luke 9:23
