Just One Nail

There once was a man who owned a beautiful home

One day, a persistent buyer showed up

Offered money. Favors. Everything

But the owner refused

The house meant too much to him. He wasn’t selling

Days later, the buyer returned

But this time with a different offer

“I don’t want the whole house. Just one nail. The one on your living room wall.”

Confused, the owner thought: “It’s harmless. Just a nail.”

So he agreed

Weeks passed. Then the buyer came back

But this time, he was carrying something horrifying

A rotting carcass

And he hung it on the nail

Right there in the living room

The owner was furious

“Remove it. Now.”

But the buyer smiled and said:

“That nail is MINE. I bought it. I can hang whatever I want on it.”

And he walked away

The stench filled the house

Flies. Decay. Sickness

What started as “just a nail” poisoned everything

Eventually, the man couldn’t take it anymore

He abandoned his own home

Because of one nail

The devil doesn’t need your whole life. Just one nail. One small compromise

One area you refuse to surrender

James 1:15- “Sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.”

It starts small. But it never stays small.

Maybe it’s unforgiveness.

“I’ll forgive everyone……except them.”

Maybe it’s that relationship you know isn’t right. “Just one more time.”

Maybe it’s the bitterness you keep feeding. “They deserve my anger.”

You think it’s contained. But it’s spreading

Ephesians 4:27-“Do not give the devil a foothold.”

A foothold=one nail. One small access point. And once he has it, he’ll hang death on it

1 Peter 5:8- “Your enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”

He’s looking for the nail you left exposed

If there’s anything in your life you know isn’t right. Don’t leave it hanging on the nail

The enemy is satisfied with one nail. But God wants to restore the entire house

2 Corinthians 7:1- “Let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit.”

Stop defending the nail. Surrender it. Before the rot spreads to everything.

Luke 12:40 “You too, be ready; because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not think He will.”

When you are called home, or Jesus returns……will He find a rotting carcass hanging on one nail? Are you ready? Do you go to church or Are You the Church?!?! There is a difference

What is Baptism?

Baptism prepares the body to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit!

The practice of baptism in the early church was performed in the name of Jesus Christ. The disciples were trained by Jesus for three years. I believe they would have fully done as Jesus instructed them to do so.  In the second century; John Martyr, an early father of the Catholic Church changed the name into which people were baptized. To the name of [Titles] the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Obey His Commandments

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith. 1 John 5:3

Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." John 14:15

Call to Discipleship

I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another." John 13:34-35

And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me." Luke 9:23
